Roasted Chicken Wings with Cheesy Hot Sauce!

These tasty baked chicken wings are marinated in barbecue sauce and then baked until the skin is slightly crispy and full of flavour. The highlight is the homemade spicy cheese sauce, which combines cheddar cheese with hot sauce for a spicy kick and a rich cheesy aroma. The smooth texture of the sauce pairs perfectly with the wings. Finally, serve with some salad greens to balance out the richness of the cheese sauce and add a touch of freshness without any starch.

Barbecue Sauce

Garlic (chopped)

3 cloves

Paprika

Cornstarch

Sea Salt

Ground Black Pepper

Cheesy Hot Sauce

Butter

20g

Plain Flour

20g

Milk

300ml

Sugar

1 tsp

Salt

½tsp

Cheddar Cheese

80g

Hot Sauce

Steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Chop the garlic. Mix the chopped garlic, paprika, BBQ sauce, sea salt, black pepper, and cornstarch with the chicken wings. Marinate for 10 minutes, then bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

Make the spicy cheese sauce: In a medium pan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add flour and mix well. Gradually add oat milk, salt, and sugar, then stir in cheddar cheese until fully melted and combined. Finally, add hot sauce and cook until thickened.

To serve: Prepare some salad greens. Arrange the chicken wings on the plate, stacking them and securing with bamboo skewers if needed. Drizzle with the spicy cheese sauce and garnish with a sprinkle of parsley.
